A man is accused of entering a high school and spraying a fire extinguisher.

Daniel Theriault, also known as Angela Theriault, age 23, formerly of Caribou but currently a transient, was arrested Thursday on charges of Class C felony terrorizing, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and two counts of criminal mischief.

Theriault allegedly entered Caribou High School on Thursday morning and chased staff members down a hall while spraying a fire extinguisher toward them, police said. Students were not inside the building and no one was injured.

Theriault had left the building when police arrived, but Officer Kevin St. Peter and Officer Douglas Bell took a description from a video and located the man after receiving a tip from a resident.

Police said that Theriault also allegedly did some damage inside the high school.

Bail was set at $1,000 cash or $10,000 surety with a condition of not returning to any school property. Theriault’s initial court date is Aug. 4.
