Drone video posted to Facebook captured a man lighting his truck on fire outside a Buc-ee's in Freeport. The photo above is of another Buc-ee's location across Texas.

A Texas man set fire to his truck parked next to a gas pump outside Buc-ee's on Monday.

Drone footage captured by a passerby shows flames envelop the top of a white pickup truck as heavy smoke billows up to and above the roof which covers the gas pumps. Just a few minutes into the video, the car can no longer be seen and smoke is covering the gas station chain's beaver logo.

According to comments under the drone video posted to Facebook and later confirmed by local media, the blaze happened at the Buc-ee's located at Brazosport and Gulf Boulevard in Freeport.

The 38-year-old owner used two gallons of gas to light the 2008 Toyota Tacoma on fire, Brazoria County news website "The Facts" reported.

The video shared to Facebook has been seen nearly 100,000 times as of Sept. 30. One Facebook user commented he saw the destruction the morning after when he tried to get gas at the station.

Another user wrote the man who lit the fire tried to fight people who tried to help put out the fire.

Freeport police told local media the man was hit twice by tasers before being taken to a hospital in Houston to recover from the burns. Authorities didn't release why the man initially committed the act.
