Tesla Cybertruck is unlikely to offer any colors other than natural steel, but CEO Elon Musk now says that you should be able to heat steel to get different colors.

Since Tesla introduced the Cybertruck with its exoskeleton body made of exposed steel, people have been discussing its significance for color choices.

The lack of stamped body panels helps eliminate dents, minor damage and long-term corrosion, but it limits the color options for packaging.

At first, CEO Elon Musk suggested that Tesla could provide electric pickups in different colors, and even hinted that it would provide matte black, but he later said that Tesla Cybertruck needs packaging to provide different colors.

Steel can get some chemical coloring by heating it at different temperatures. Some people speculate that it can be applied to Cybertruck in some ways, but Musk didn't comment on this until now.

At first, the CEO responded to a comment that Cybertruck in "White Oxide" is not impossible:

Subsequently, Musk directly confirmed that Cybertruck's cold-rolled steel body can be heated to obtain different colors:

However, it is not clear whether this is something that must be done in the aftermarket, or whether Tesla can provide its own solution.

Tesla plans to bring Cybertruck to the market by the end of 2021-first, two high-end versions of electric pickup trucks.

I doubt that Tesla will get involved in this field, but I am glad to know that it is used in conjunction with Tesla's Cybertruck body.

Some very cool colors can be obtained by heating steel:

Regardless of whether this can be listed or not, I think Cybertruck will create a huge after-sales modified parts and accessories market.

Tesla itself will produce many such products. We already know about the camper van model. Musk even calls the electric Cyberquad ATV a Cybertruck accessory, but I think we will see a lot of people trying to personalize their Cybertruck so they don’t look It's the same.

It should create an interesting small industry, as we have seen in Model 3 and now Model Y.
